You will also be given your project manager’s cell phone number to use ANYTIME… Maximum Access, Maximum Accountability.

Payment is due AFTER the project is completed. In fact, we don’t even take deposits. This is unusual – most home improvement companies insist on at least a deposit before they will begin any work.

This is about our integrity. We don’t want you to pay us for something when we haven’t done anything yet or when it is half done. When we have it done – and done right – then we will accept payment.

You can arrange your own financing if that is your preference. But also know that you can explore financing options with Allied Remodeling. Yes, we accept all major credit cards.

Yes, we will gladly give you references. We can give you as many as you want to talk to – you should be completely comfortable with Allied Remodeling before you sign anything.

We strongly recommend you contact references for any company you are considering – including us. One of the best ways to quickly learn about any contractor in Central MD is to talk to the customers who have already done business with them.

Yes. Before we explain our warranty, let us tell you what is typical in this industry. Most companies (including most remodeling companies in Central MD) give either no labor warranty or a 1-year labor warranty. 5-year labor warranties are sometimes offered and these are considered above average.

That is not nearly good enough.

Allied Remodeling always matches the manufacturer’s warranty on the product we are installing. If the product has a lifetime warranty, our labor warranty is also lifetime. If the product comes with a 25 year warranty, our labor warranty is for 25 years. We fully stand behind our work. Period.

Yes, we are certified by both major roofing manufacturers – CertainTeed and GAF. With CertainTeed we are certified as both Shingle Masters and Master Shingle Applicators. From GAF, we have earned the Weather Stopper Roofing Contractor certification.

Yes, and it will be outstanding. This is why we work with the best manufacturers because they have the best warranties. One other thing you should know about warranties: even if you have an outstanding product warranty, there is a “loophole” with many roofing companies in Annapolis, Towson, Potomac and surrounding areas. This is because a defect in the product itself is covered, but anything that happens because of poor installation is NOT covered. Allied Remodeling doesn’t think that is right, so we have closed this loophole. We give you a labor warranty that matches the length of the product warranty. If the product is covered for a lifetime, so is the labor.

Only our experienced, fully-trained crews that have worked for us for years. A majority have been with us for 5 or more year – some even since we launched in 1996. It is a little-known secret in this industry that many roofing companies in Annapolis, Potomac and surrounding areas are essentially sales companies that then sub-contract out the job to the lowest bidder. With these practices, sometimes unskilled temporary day labor is used. We reject these methods as they lower quality and increase headaches.

Our opinion is that CertainTeed and GAF are the undisputed best roofing manufacturers for roofing replacement in Bowie, Silver Spring and surrounding areas. They have been the two longest-lasting, innovative, and top quality choices for a long time. We are comfortable with either.

But there are small but important details that put CertainTeed over the top. One is that CertainTeed warranties aesthetic defects in their shingles. If GAF shingles develop staining but there is nothing wrong with the integrity of the shingles, they will not cover that under warranty. CertainTeed will cover shingles even if it is only an aesthetic defect.

CertainTeed also makes it a policy to publish the weight of their products, and when it comes to roofing, heavier means more durable. By being transparent with this data, CertainTeed allows us to help the homeowner make a more informed choice.

Siding FAQs

No, there are some important differences. For example, many siding contractors in Bel Air, Rockville and surrounding areas use inexperienced labor that nails siding to tight to the home which causes bending and even cracking of the siding.

We also use CertainTeed’s exclusive “Stud Finder” System which ensures that the siding is attached to every stud. Other systems can be hit or miss about using every stud. These are just a couple of examples. The bottom line is that experience and attention to detail do matter when installing siding.
